Portable Appliance Testing is an electrical safety test of all electrical appliances. It is a legal requirement for all employers and landlords to ensure that appliances are safe and well maintained. The Electricity at Work Regulations of 1989 places the responsibility for ensuring all appliances within the workplace are safe to use firmly with the employer. Compliance can be achieved by a regular test program which we can tailor to meet your requirements.
All of our engineers are trained to nationally recognised qualifications and as an NICEIC registered contractor we work to the highest standard. We will check that plugs, fuses and cable are correct for the appliance and comply with BS1363 and BS1362. Our engineers conduct PAT testing using the latest testing equipment to ensure they are carried out efficiently and comprehensively. All appliances tested are labelled with a dated pass or fail sticker and a report of the testing is provided along with future PAT testing reminders. The report can be produced on different formats to suit your needs, i.e. on disk, paper copy or simply uploaded to client specific software.
PAT testing is usually costed on a per item rate with minor remedial work being carried out as work progresses at no extra cost. An hourly or day rate can also be agreed.
